Traction is building the largest merchant ecosystem platform for SMEs in Africa, enabling a one stop platform for them to grow and manage their business, and we are achieving this through 3 foundational stacks – in-person payments, lending and business tools.
Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of best-in-class people strategies which will drive Traction forward as an employer of choice and support the organization in achieving its vision, mission, and strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze system specifications, Business Requirement Documents
- Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
- Evaluate product code according to specifications
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Help troubleshoot issues
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Requirements
- B.Sc / BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Support
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
- Experience in project management and QA methodology
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. Jira, Testrail, Zephyr)
- Excellent communication skills
