Job Description

  • We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Officer who is resident in Lagos but very familiar with the Northern part of Nigeria and the ability to communicate fluently in Hausa language will be a strong determining factor.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Monitor and track shipments, ensuring they meet quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, tracking stock movements, and conducting regular stock audits.
  • Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and minimize costs, while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and analyze logistics reports, providing insights and recommendations to management for process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms of agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards in logistics activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in logistics operations or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, logistics processes, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve logistics-related issues
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast -paced environment
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suit
