FairMoney is building the leading mobile bank for emerging markets. We started with a digital microcredit application on Android, and currently roll out additional financial services (current account, savings, debit card) while expanding the product to Western Africa and South-East Asia.
Job Description
- We are looking for a content marketing leader who can take ownership of our content marketing team and help create & implement a content marketing strategy that drives engagement, grows our owned and paid channels and builds the profile of the brand through content.
- You will work alongside teams focused on digital, growth, product development, brand marketing, and customer experience, so you must enjoy working collaboratively.
- The ideal candidate should possess a blend of creative flair, strategic thinking, stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Development:
- Develop and maintain a strong brand identity that aligns with the company’s vision and values.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels (Social Media, CRM, Website, and Traditional & Digital Media)
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
Content Strategy:
- Create and implement a comprehensive content strategy that supports overall business objectives.
- Supports the development of engaging and high-quality content for various platforms, including websites, social media, CRM, traditional and digital marketing materials.
- Ensure content is tailored to target audiences and adheres to brand guidelines.
Communication:
- Craft compelling and clear communication messages for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective communication plans for product launches, events, and campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of communication strategies and make data-driven improvements.
Digital Presence:
- Manage the social media team to enhance the company’s digital presence through social media, blogs, and other online channels.
- Stay updated on digital marketing trends and incorporate innovative strategies to increase brand visibility.
PR and Stakeholder Management:
- You will develop relationships with relevant media outlets and pitch stories to gain positive press coverage.
- Ability to manage crisis and stakeholders.
- You will organize and participate in industry networking events; to connect with regulators, potential customers & partners.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with design, CRM, growth and marketing team to ensure a cohesive and unified brand presence.
- Collaborate with external agencies and partners to execute specific brand and content initiatives
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5 years experience in content marketing with a fintech company, minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in building a content marketing strategy that impacts business results.
- Excellent written skills with the ability to present at the board level and inspire a team.
- Broad experience across content marketing channels and a thirst to continue testing and learning.
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful brand, content initiatives and PR campaigns.
